Terms of service and cancellation policy

The owner of the online store is Tallinn University (hereinafter referred to as the online store is Tallinn University (74000122), located at Narva mnt 25, 10120 Tallinn, Estonia.

When visiting and using the online store the following terms of service (henceforth terms of service) apply to the user of the online store (henceforth Buyer).

The validity of contract of sale, product and price information

The Buyers can buy tickets from the online store, which have been added to the online store by the Organiser of the event (henceforth Organiser).
The prices of the products sold in the online store are indicated next to the tickets.
All prices are in Euros (€).

To purchase tickets, the Buyer should select the class of ticket and amounts, and enter the required information, which may vary across events. The conference secretariat will send to the Buyer a confirmation or invoice of the purchased e-tickets within two weeks after registration. The registration and e-tickets are considered confirmed and definite after the full payment is received.

Placing an order

Add the desired tickets to your shopping basket to order them. Fill in all of the required fields to complete the order. The total cost is then displayed on the screen. This can be paid securely via the following payment methods provided by Maksekeskus AS:

  • Estonian bank links: Swedbank, SEB, Luminor, LHV, Coop Pank
  • Visa / MasterCard credit card payments
  • Pay later solutions: by invoice sent by Conference Secretariat

NB! When using a bank link payment confirm the order and then click on the ‘Return to merchant’ button.

The personal data necessary for the execution of payments is transferred to authorized processor Maksekeskus AS. The contract enters into force when the amount payable is transferred to the bank account of the online store.

Cancellation policy

The following cancellation policy applies for EDEN 2022.

If you register for on-site participation and then decide to switch to online form after May 15th, 2022 we’ll not be able to return the difference between on-site and online fees (180 EUR). You can switch from online to on-site participation until June 15 by paying additional 270 EUR.

  • Registration cancellations requests should be sent by email to conference@tlu.ee
  • The Conference Secretariat will confirm your cancellation in writing. All refunds will be processed after the conference
  • For cancellations (including conference dinner fee) received before May 15th, 2022: refund of 100% of the registration fee minus bank charges. Cancellations (including conference dinner fee) received after May 15, 2022 are non refundable. 

Personal data

Questions pertaining to the processing of personal data have been regulated by the privacy policies of the conference and Tallinn University, as well as the applicable legal acts.

Settlement of disputes

All complaints made by a Buyer about the online store must be e-mailed to conference@tlu.ee.

If the Buyer and the online store are not able to settle the dispute by agreement, the Buyer may contact the Consumer Dispute Committee. You can review the procedural rules and submit a complaint here. The Consumer Dispute Committee is competent to resolve disputes arising from a contract between a Buyer and the online store. Resolution of disputes by the Consumer Dispute Committee is free of charge for the Buyer. A Buyer may also turn to the dispute resolution bodies of the European Union.

Final provisions

TLU reserves the right to change their terms of service by publishing a new redaction on the TLU website.
The usage of the online store is subject to the laws of the Republic of Estonia.
