Call for Papers and Abstract Submission

Please find below the conference call for papers and the website for abstract submissions.

The conference organisers encourage presenters to submit their proposals for individual paperspanels (up to four abstracts/panel participants), double panels (up to eight abstracts/panel participants), and posters.

Proposals have to be submitted online via the official submission system on the dedicated conference page for a double-blind evaluation by an international board of reviewers. Deadline for submissions is 22nd January 2024. The language of the conference is English.

Abstract submission

 

Scholars in all areas of Chinese Studies from Europe and beyond are kindly invited to submit their proposals for contributions in one of the following disciplinary categories:
  • Language and Linguistics
  • Chinese as a Foreign Language and Education
  • Literature (Premodern)
  • Literature (Modern)
  • Philosophy and History of Thought
  • History (Premodern)
  • History (Modern)
  • Religion
  • Law
  • Economics
  • Politics and International Relations
  • Art and Archaeology
  • Museum Studies and Material Culture
  • Environmental Studies
  • Anthropology and Sociology
  • Digital Humanities
  • Music, Media, and Performing Arts
  • Gender and Queer Studies
  • Science, Technology and Medicine

  • Interdisciplinary Field
The board accepts proposals in the following formats:
  • Individual paper proposal: abstract, max. 250 words.
  • Panel proposals: panel abstract, max. 250 words; names of the panel organizer, chair, participants, and optionally a discussant; 3-4 individual abstracts, with max. 250 words each.
  • Double-panel proposals: panel abstract, max. 250 words; names of the panel organizer, chair, participants, and optionally a discussant; 6-8 individual abstracts, with max. 250 words each.
  • Poster proposal: abstract, max 250 words; names of the poster organizer and participants.

Dear colleague, the results of the review process have been announced and sent to everybody via email on 1 May. Communications have been sent to the email from which the submission to the conference had originally been made. If you have submitted an individual abstract or a panel proposal and by any chance you have not correctly received the message, please contact us immediately at: eacs2024@tlu.ee
